Its been a several weeks now that our daughter Rachel, trying to crawl. Last night, when were ready to go to bed, she was getting close to crawling. Me and hubby was very surprised because couple of times she is almost to crawling. I put some toys in front of her, so she would try to move forward but shes very close but not quite crawling yet.

I’m not into news, but my hubby always watches it. Usually when he gets home from work, he turns the tv on and watches. We saw a story that was very intriguing about a 2 year old girl missing for over a month. The mother never reported to the police the her daughter was missing. So, the grandmother called the police and reported it. The case is still on going and I can’t listen to the details because I need to cook dinner. But, as a mother, I can’t believe why the mother didn’t ever report it, which makes me very suspicious she did something bad to her daughter and now is trying to lie her way out of it.

I had my friends came over for dinner last night, so I cooked some foods and my friend brought some dessert with them and it tastes very good. After we ate our dinner, we decided to walk in the mall, since I live close to shopping area and they close like 9 pm.  While were busy shopping I heard some loud thunder and I saw it was raining  outside.  So, when were done shopping, one of my friends told us she would pick us at the front door. Holy cow, I have never seen it rain so hard.  I got all wet and my friends did too.  Afterwards, we all had our second round of dessert at our place, even though we were all still a little wet.

We went to my husband’s parents house to have a dinner last night. They had barbeque pork ribs that tasted really good, but I just wish they would’ve had rice on it instead of a french fries. I would have preferred rice instead of the potato french fries, even though I like potatoes. The barbecue pork ribs were so tender. I asked her for the recipe and will try for my own in the future.

After my hubby got home from work. He told me he had some mosquito bites.  He said he got them at the garden wedding other day. His really pissed off because it’s really itchy and he scratch the one so much and he has a scab now.  So I went to the bathroom and check the  medicine cabinet hoping we have some cream for itchy.  Luckily, when I open the cabinet I found some lotion thats good for mosquito bites.  I put it right away on his arms and hoping it will help  him not to itch his skin.

After I put lotion on his skin, I told him that, good thing Rachel our daughter doesn’t have any bites.  Because she was wearing a dress that day and no sleeves.  The only thing that bothered our daughter that day was the heat.  It was very very hot.

One of the many things I enjoy is watching movies.  I like many different types of movies, but my favorites are romantic comedies and action movies.  My husband suggested I watch a movie from around twenty years ago titled “The Seventh Sign” with Demi Moore.  What a great movie…it has a really interesting plot based on the seven signs in the Bible that signify the end of the world or what is better known as “Judgement Day”.  This movie was very intriguing for us because the actor that portrays the son of God has the same and not very common last name of my husband, Prochnow.  His name is Jurgen Prochnow who has an uncanny resemblance with my husband.  They both have very similar facial bone structure and eyes.  It was a little eerie for me, because when I looked at the actor in the movie, it was like I was looking at my husband or one of his close relatives.  There is no relation between them that we know of.  Back to the movie…it has a great storyline that was very fascinating and unpredictable.  The ending gave me a mix of happy and sad feelings.  I would recommend it to anyone that hasn’t  seen it already.

I just haang up the phone its my hubby calling me. He asked me whats my plan for tonight.  How  would I like to go out for a dinner? and I answer, thats a good idea.  I always love to go out and eat.  So that I dont need to cook and clean afterward.

But, he want to choose the restaurant we go to. I said, thats fine, where do you want to go eat?  He said Chili’s because he wants to order their Monterey Chicken entree.  Well, thats find I guess.  But, if I would pick the restaurant it would be Macaroni Grill. I love their porkchops, hmmmmm, so yummy.
Im hungry now thinking of porkchops. So back to Chili’s…I was thinking of ordering baby back ribs with french fries on it. Does that sounds good to you?

I need to get ready before my hubby comes home and get Rachel ready for her bath. I need
to get the laundry for her clothes and towels we need…so I better go now.

This coming friday I was invited for a birtday party.  So I went to the mall this afternoon and buy a gift.  It took a while for me to decide on what  gift to buy.  Also our daughter Rachel was crying and I think she is hungry and need to feed her.   After that,  I continue shopping and finally  I found the
perfect gift for her.  I bought a skirt and a halter blouse.  It was a good deal,  and im so happy for that and it looks very nice. Wish I could wear it.

Im really excited my friend’s party,  because there going to have a pig roast.  I love pig roast.  I remember back in the philippines, my family always have a pig roast every weekend.  Most of the time we had it  while  were in the beach.  My family loves the outdoor.  Everytime we go out we always have a pig roast .  Ohh, I really miss my family.

I just feed our daughter Rachel, now it’s our turn to eat lunch. I’m looking in the fridge on what can I cook. We have some leftover lasagna from yesterday. My hubby would love to have garlic bread with the lasagne, so luckily when I checked the freezer, I found some garlic bread. I just need to put it in the oven and our lunch is ready.

Before we had our baby, our family and friends tried to warn me how challenging being a mother would be.  I thought about what they said and I tried to imagine what to expect.   But, nothing could prepare me for the mountain of challenges ahead for me.  I can plan ahead as much as possible, but when our baby has different plans, it makes it very difficult.  Mainly, when she is not happy and lets me know about it in one way or another, sometimes it’s very hard to figure out what she wants.  Is she hungry or tired, does she need a diaper change, or does she want to watch “Tigger and Pooh” cartoon?  Having patience while I am trying to figure this out is something I have never had to do before.  But, over time I have gotten much better and now know what she wants a lot quicker than before…thank goodness.
