We are still trying to “phase out” our daughter Rachel from using her binky. Our pediatrician recommended we don’t allow her to use it anymore because it’s not good for her as her gums, teeth and mouth as they develop and grow. She has had to have her binky before she goes to sleep at night and other times during the day. Yesterday, we went shopping and we misplaced her only binky. We thought it was somewhere in the car, but we couldn’t find it. And we didn’t want to go and buy another one if she wasn’t going to use it very much longer. So, last night we were going to have to get her to sleep with NO BINKY. We thought she was going to be really fussy and she would keep us help real late last night. However, we played with her some and gave her a small Mini Mouse doll she likes a lot. We were pleasantly surprised that after half an hour or so she fell asleep while holding and hugging Mini Mouse. During the night she slept pretty well. Hopefully, this was a good first step to moving past her using her binky.
